Privacy Policy
How Sonic Spectrum, Inc. handles information when you use SonicPCS websites, Internet, voice, billing, and support services.
Effective: September 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains the information Sonic Spectrum, Inc. (“Sonic,” “SonicPCS,” “we,” or “us”) may collect, how we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to customers and website visitors. This policy applies to SonicPCS websites, customer-account systems, Internet and voice services, service inquiries, installations, billing, support, and related communications.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide. We may collect your name, service and billing addresses, telephone number, email address, account credentials, service selections, support requests, appointment information, communications with us, and other information you choose to provide.
Billing and payment information. We and our payment processors may process payment-card, bank-account, billing, transaction, and payment-status information. Sonic may use processor-issued payment tokens or limited account information rather than storing full payment credentials in every system.
Network and service information. Operating an Internet and voice network requires technical records such as customer and service identifiers, assigned IP addresses, MAC/device identifiers, authentication records, session start and stop times, traffic volumes, network element information, service quality and diagnostic measurements, call-detail records for voice service, and security or abuse logs.
Website and application information. When you visit a Sonic website or portal, we may receive IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, date and time information, referring pages, cookies or similar identifiers, and information needed to maintain sessions, security, and site functionality.
2. How we use information
We may use information to:
- determine service availability and install, provision, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve services;
- authenticate customers and protect accounts, customers, employees, and network resources;
- prepare bills, process payments, manage AutoPay, collect past-due amounts, and maintain business records;
- provide customer support, schedule appointments, respond to outages, and communicate service information;
- detect fraud, spam, malware, abuse, unauthorized access, theft of service, and security incidents;
- operate network-management, routing, capacity-planning, and reliability functions;
- provide and support voice calling, number administration, emergency-calling functions, and required telecommunications records;
- comply with applicable law, regulation, court orders, subpoenas, emergency requests, and lawful government process;
- send service-related notices and, where permitted, marketing communications; and
- evaluate and improve products, websites, customer experience, and operations.
3. When we share information
Sonic may share information with vendors and service providers that perform functions for us, such as payment processing, billing, customer-account software, network monitoring, hosting, communications, support tools, mapping, installation, equipment, fraud prevention, and professional services. Those providers receive information needed for their work and are expected to handle it appropriately.
We may also disclose information to upstream carriers, voice and interconnection providers, emergency-service systems, number administrators, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, courts, or other parties when reasonably necessary to provide service or when required or permitted by law.
We may disclose information to protect the rights, safety, property, network, or security of Sonic, our customers, or others; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, financing, sale, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of some or all of Sonic’s business or assets.
Sonic does not sell customer personal information to third-party data brokers for money. Sonic also does not use the contents of customer Internet communications for behavioral advertising.
4. Internet traffic and content
Like every Internet provider, Sonic necessarily handles packets and routing information in order to deliver Internet traffic. Sonic may inspect or process limited traffic information when reasonably necessary to route data, troubleshoot service, identify malware or attacks, enforce the Acceptable Use Policy, protect the network, respond to a customer request, or comply with law. Sonic does not routinely read the contents of customers’ private Internet communications for advertising purposes.
5. Voice privacy and CPNI
For customers receiving regulated voice services, certain information about the telecommunications services you purchase and use may constitute Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI). Sonic handles CPNI as required by applicable federal law. Sonic may use CPNI to provide and support services permitted by law and will obtain customer approval where approval is legally required for another use.
6. Cookies and analytics
Sonic websites may use cookies, local storage, server logs, or similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, forms, performance, and analytics. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but some account or website functions may not work correctly without them.
7. Text messages, calls, and email
Sonic may use the contact information on your account for billing, appointment, outage, security, support, collections, and other service-related communications. If you separately consent to promotional communications, you may withdraw that consent using the method provided in the message or by contacting Sonic. Opting out of marketing does not prevent Sonic from sending non-marketing messages reasonably necessary to operate or support your service.
8. Retention
Sonic retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, billing, account administration, network security, dispute resolution, regulatory reporting, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, and other legitimate business or legal purposes. Retention periods vary by information type and applicable requirements.
9. Security
Sonic uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect customer information. No network, website, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers are responsible for protecting account passwords and securing customer-owned devices and Wi-Fi networks.
10. Your choices and rights
You may update many account details through the customer portal or by contacting Sonic. You may ask Sonic to correct inaccurate account information and may exercise privacy rights available under applicable law. Sonic may need to verify your identity before providing access to or changing protected account information.
You may choose not to provide optional information, but information needed to determine serviceability, bill an account, deliver service, or satisfy legal requirements may be required to provide the requested service.
11. Children
Sonic services are sold to adults and are not directed to children under 13. Sonic does not knowingly use its websites to collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information directly to Sonic may contact us.
12. Third-party services and links
Sonic websites may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Sonic is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third parties that you choose to use.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in services, systems, law, or business practices. The current version will be posted here with its effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
